The Last Chance Hotel is an animated black comedy/fantasy mini-series that is still in the works. The story follows Pili and Kamon who work at a hotel for ghosts. They must figure out what is keeping the ghosts in the physical plane and help them “pass on” to the afterlife. Most of these turn out to be very ridiculous reasons played up for laughs, but the idea is to touch on very real fears that are often associated with death, identity and grief. This project was created alongside my honors exegesis "The Tiny Eyes Project" which explores a new process by which children's media can be created to be more fulfilling for it's target audience. At the moment, The Last Chance Hotel consists of 5 5-minute animatics and hopes to be a fully fledged mini-series one day!
